CHICO & RICO: A PURE GENIUS IDEA FOR A SHOW

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! HOW COULD YOU NOT?

An action comedy series about a man who can talk to animals and his partner saving and protecting animals with amazing martial arts and the help of their animal friends. C'mon! It's like Cesar Millan meets the A-team meets Kung fu in a Latin soap opera.

If you have ever hung out at the old Open Matt Dojo, you have probably met a few of these people. Jose and Dennis are super talented, hilarious, and part of the reason that I am so damn grateful in life.

When the people you look up to and admire are also your friends and community, an overwhelming gratitude fills you up every second of every day. Plus, there is also a balance because sometimes, when they are doing great, I'm struggling. When I'm doing great, they may be struggling, and to be in conversation or community with geniuses that are living creative lives, you get to see that the best people are just good at being in conversation with practice.

However, you probably have not heard of these guys. Yet, all of the people involved in this small proof of concept are so otherworldly talented and sweet that they create things that should be celebrated.

I mean, this is an action series about kung fu fighting animal rights activists. How great is that?!?

I am saying this because artists work their asses off and sacrifice so much to make our lives beautiful. I am surrounded by people who are my heroes, and many of you may never know their names. However, it's usually because we rarely seek out art on our own. We wait for it to be delivered to us, and if you know anything about art, a lot of great stuff will never be supported because it's bad for sales or makes you do all that pesky thinkin'.

Being a creator in many ways is a life that is so rewarding and necessary that many people are willing to risk everything for it and let it be judged by anonymous strangers only to result in giving it away for free. There are also huge rewards as well, so don't think it's all bad. But remember that no one visits New York or Italy to see the bank, and you are not going to the movies to look at their financial spreadsheets; you are there for the art and creativity; the banks fund it, so we need everyone in this work. Get out there and show some love!

I have been there; you may have been there too.

So many of my heroes are friends and even clients because when I see something I love, I share the sh!t out of it, and I tell the artists thank you.

So here ya go! This is the basic proof of concept of a TV series that should be made.
